Masterclass - School Transitions
This session takes place on 4th June 2026 at 12:30pm and will be recorded if you can't take it live.
With different transitions looming at this time of year, the water can feel a little choppier.
Remember that mix of excitement and panic you felt on the very first day of something new? Perhaps starting school, moving classrooms, a new job, or a new hobby?
Well, whether your child is about to move into or out of education, change classrooms, move onto secondary school, make a move from one school to another, is stepping into college or an apprenticeship, or is taking some time out to decide ‘what next’, that familiar knot in your stomach is probably back.
School transitions (like many transitions) are massive milestones for us as well as our children, but let’s be honest—they can also feel completely overwhelming.
It is a bit of a rollercoaster of big emotions, and endless nights of playing "worst-case scenario" in your head. It’s completely understandable to feel worried about whether they’ll make friends, have their needs met, and cope with the bigger workload. You want them to thrive, not just survive, but right now you might just be hoping everyone makes it through the first week without a major meltdown (including you!). Sound familiar?
From overwhelm to confidence: That’s exactly why we are offering a Masterclass on Smooth Sailing: School Transitions.
In this Masterclass we will break down why these changes feel so huge and give you bite-sized, practical strategies to respond to your child’s worries, and to help you to build your child's resilience.
You’ll learn how to co-regulate when those big fears creep up and ideas to help your whole household navigate this transition. By the end of our time together, you’ll trade that transition dread for a clear, confident game plan, ready to empower your child as they conquer their next big adventure.
